Very easy to follow, practical book, covering some very basic to intermediate Flash ActionScript programs. This book is definitely obsolete now, but is far from useless. If you want to learn the basic principles of flash actionscript animation, and can find a copy at a low price, then this book will benefit you greatly.
Although ActionScript has evolved since this book came out, the principles will guide you along gently and prepare you for more advanced ActionScript techniques in other, more up to date books. You'll learn some easy Flash games, a little quasi-3D animiation, and even how to handle form submissions in Flash applications. And lots of Math functions and other math-related calculations, so it does get intense at times.
Overall a good book, but as is the case with most of SAM'S books, quite a few errors and spelling mistakes. But not so much that it ruins the experience or value of the material.
