This is the third book I've purchased in my study of American Sign Language and it is the best one so far. The illustrations are easily understood when used in conjunction with the description of the individual signs. I have also enjoyed the ease of looking up and identifying a particular sign according to handshape. I would recommend this publcation to anyone who is serious about learning ASL and learning more about Deaf culture.
